Life’s Highway

Slowly but slowly the river does flow,

On each bank the flowers grow,

Hear the birds as they sing,

In the air, upon the wing.

The breeze touches with a sigh,

And the sun warms from way up high,

Then Mother nature will gently call,

Through soft rain that does fall.

These things we get from God above,

As he binds us all with his true love,

He welcomes us with open arms,

And fills us with his precious charms.

As we go from day to day,

We find true love on our way,

Grant us peace and grant us joy,

Be we girl or be we joy.

So let us open up our heart,

And be glad that we are a part,

Of life’s great pathway that we tread,

And be thankful for our daily bread.
